I’ve been heard to comment that “God created email for me”, and those who know me sorta chuckle , because they know how much I hate using the phone. Now that I think about it, it’s the only complaint my friends have about me so that’s cool – the fact that they only have ONE thing to complain about. heh heh.
So this week’s Stepping Out of My Comfort Zone challenge is that for the next SEVEN days, I will phone one person each day that I haven’t talked with for a while. Of course some people will respond: “I don’t know who YOU are, but bring back the real Joss!”
I also want to take a moment, here, to thank each of the participants in this challenge. Wow, we are off to an amazing start. Where will we be, who will we be, when this year ends, I wonder.
Hey Marge, did you know if you Google “no comfort zone”, my post/ your blog shows up as third on the list. woo hoo. We’re gonna be famous!

I like what you’re doing with getting out of your comfort zone. What a great way to continue growing.

I love your phone a day challenge! It’s a wonderful idea and sort of something I was thinking of — a NO Electronics Day! Ugh … but why not. It would be fun to turn it off and leave it off. I’ll let you know when I do it!
Famous! I love it!
Oh, this is a tough one! Wishing you all the best as you reconnect, dear Joss. xoxo
The phone is so neglected now that it’s mostly for the convenience of scammers and solicitation calls!
Hope you find your friends answer their phones!
lol…same here…happy calling!
I had thought of the same thing, calling one person each day (I, too, have a strong aversion to the phone). Haven’t committed to that yet. More power to you!
I will google and see what shows up! Really cool.
it’s amazing how many of us hate the phone. Makes me feel not so weird after all.
I also contemplated doing this . . . because I avoid the phone whenever possible.
Maybe I’ll see how it works out for you, Joss.
Great reminder – now that I suspended my Facebook account I have to rely on the old method of actually calling people.
imagine eh?
oh, I thought it was for ME He’d created it?! LOL Since I moved, it isn’t an issue anymore because no one expects me to call.
Good thought for the no-comfort zone, and congrats to the Google results..
heh heh. Rebekah. well, maybe we were both being thought of!!
Nice thought.
Certainly a wonderful idea! I understand the point of view your friends and family might have to receiving an actual telephone call. I call my family and have to leave messages; that is the only reason I remember what their voices sound like. They never return messages by phone..just email. Good goal. I hope you enjoy yourself.
Ta Ta for now Cathy the Bagg Lady
well sometimes they say things like “oh I thought you’d broken your hand and couldn’t dial the phone.” hah hah hah.
Oh, I feel your pain! I hate talking on the phone! I think I did a happy dance the day texting became an accepted mode of communication! Good luck on your goal this week – you can do it!!
Thanks C.B.
thats a great idea! I’m a huge email/text person, so I might do that too.
give it a shot. I’m always glad when i do call someone. There’s something special about actually hearing a friend’s voice.
